What a weekend... I went to a wedding on Saturday of a couple that used to be in my Rotaract club (the guy turned 30 so we had to put him out to pasture..!)
The weather during the ceremony & when they had their photographs was quite nice - a little overcast at first, but grew sunnier as the afternoon progressed. Both the ceremony and reception were held at the South of Perth Yacht Club. The views across the river to the City were stunning! We could see dolphins in the river too. But the weather turned during the course of the evening, and there was an amazing thunderstorm. We have had a little lightning in the sky on a few nights, but not a big storm like this for a few years at least. The sky just lit up all night, and the rain bucketed down so hard that we could not see the lights of the city anymore!! Apparently it was the wettest March day in 32 years - we had 40 mm of rain. We got home after midnight to find that we had lost electricity at our house. The power was restored around 3:30 am.
Sunday was also very wet, though the rain stopped mid afternoon. Today is lovely and sunny again, though a lot cooler than it was on the weekend. Time to dig out the winter woolies..
